EZiCAT xf Range
The Network Rail approved EZiCAT xf range are truly smart cable locators that have mulitple modes of operation.
All xf locators start from the base unit, the i500xf, and use any one of 4 transmitter mode frequencies of 8kHz, 33kHz, 512Hz and 640Hz. This helps pinpoint services that are otherwise difficult to tell apart. A radio mode to trace signals from distant radio transmittters and a power mode for locating power signals radiated from energized cables.
- Mode Lock: automatically starts in the last mode of operation for ease of use
- Hazard Zone: provides an additional warning of the close proximaty of buried services.
- Pinpoint Assist: maintains the hightest peak reading obtained to allow the operator to accuratly pinpiont a service
- Signal Strength Indicator: enables tracing of individual services amoungst multiple serivices when connected to an EZiTEX transmitter

The EZiTEX Signal Transmitters are designed to ensure that your cable detector works to the best of its ability.
The transmitters offer frequencies of 8Hz, 33Hz, 512Hz and 640Hz and can be supplied with a power output of either a 1 or 3 watts.
The units all have a built in self-test facility so as to ensure they are working prior to use.
The C.A.T (Cable Avoidance Tool) can detect signals naturally radiating from metallic service or if a Genny is used a signal distinctive to the C.A.T can be sent along the object so the C.A.T can detect it.
The C.A.T4 is the latest in a line of continuous improvements. The C.A.T4 utilises the latest technologies to bring you the most optimised cable avoidance tool in the market place today.
This feature allows the user to sweep an area searching for Power, Radio and Genny signals simultaneously, dramatically speeding up pre dig survey times and encouraging the full use of all three modes of reducing costs and improving safety.
Although work practices and guidelines insist power cables are buried below a certain depth, a common cause of cable strike is shallow depth. The StrikeAlert feature alerts the user to shallow power cables by flashing the ALERT icon on the display of the C.A.T4, C.A.T4+, eC.A.T4 or eC.A.T4+ if the option has been purchased.
This option is only available with the eC.A.T4 and eC.A.T4+. This ground breaking feature warns operators of incorrect usage to promote best working practices.
